The Filter Press / Plate & Frame Filter Press is a sludge pressing machine that uses high pressure to separate solids and liquids, producing sludge with low moisture, generally around 50–70%. It supports operation from manual to fully automatic systems and offers optional extras such as Membrane Squeeze and an automatic filter cloth washing system. It is suitable for applications that require efficient reduction of sludge moisture.

Working Principle: Filter Press
  • 1. Sludge is pumped under high pressure into the filter chambers between tightly closed plates.
  • 2. Liquid passes through the filter cloth and exits.
  • 3. Solids accumulate as cake in the chambers.
  • 4. In membrane models, additional squeeze pressure presses more water from the cake; the plates then separate to release the cake.
